Ace Cut
Features of the ACE Cut Call:
Cut Design: A semi-circular or crescent-shaped notch cut into the middle of the top reed, leaving the edges intact for stability. This cut allows for a smooth flow of air over the reed, giving it a softer, more natural sound than other cut designs that rely heavily on rasp.
Sound Profile: Clear, high-pitched yelps that are natural and sharp. This call can produce great natural non-aggressive clucks and purrs, light tree yelps and lost yelps are crisp and easy to control with minimal effort. Less rasp compared to designs like batwing or combo cuts, but can still generate some subtle raspy tones when pushed harder.
Usage: Best for finesse calling, such as soft yelps, clucks, purrs, and kee-kee runs. Excellent for close-range calling and situations where subtlety and realism are key. Works well for early spring hunting or fall hunts, where turkeys might be more responsive to gentle, natural sounds.
Best For: Hunters looking for clean, soft calls without too much rasp. The ACE has to be the most unique yelp of any of the mouth yelpers I make. It’s super realistic clean yelps makes it super hard for any gobbler not to totally get in his head that it’s a real hen. In a world full of aggressive and raspy calls give the ACE a shot and I think it will separate your self from the average hunter.
